John B. Goodenough, the “Father of Lithium Battery”, the strategy partner of TKE, was awarded Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2019
The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2019 was awarded jointly to John B. Goodenough, M. Stanley Whittingham, and Akira Yoshino “for the development of lithium-ion batteries”. The reason for the award was, “They created a rechargeable world”.
Among them, John B. Goodenough is the inventor of the anode materials of lithium cobaltate, lithium manganate and lithium iron phosphate, one of the founders of the lithium-ion batteries, known as the “Father of Lithium Battery” in the industry.
